Where did the name come from?…
Well, I knew I wanted a blog, somewhere I could vent pretty much everything about me, but I also knew I didn’t want to just call it “Skye’s Blog” so I started playing around with words and things, I wanted something really short, a single-worded name, but I honestly couldn’t think of anything, so then I went with something that pretty much cleared up what I am. How I’m portrayed, which I feel is a mistaken portrayal of me, I felt at the time as though nobody actually understood the person I wanted to be, no-one saw my true identity. Which is where it came from, mistaken identity, two words to sum me up I feel quite well. Until I can find something better, Mistaken - Identity it shall be. (Not at all affiliated with the tv show or song.)
What’s in the future for MI?…
Hopefully a domain and success. That’s my wish, I want to be well known, receive comments and emails and praise. I’ll be adding content daily, and I’m trying to make wordpress layouts, so that will boost the site so much (until then however, I’ll be using premade ones unfortunately!) Mistaken Identity, running this I have but one goal… Keep it running for a one year anniversary. Visitors will help achieve that; therefore the future, is honestly in your hands!!
My complete site history…
As you may, or may not know, this isn’t my first site. Actually it’s more like a 4th or 5th, however this is the first personal blog which I intend to keep running… So first I had many piczo sites, which I do not count because they were just pictures of my friends, then we move on to Tropical-Faerie, which some people may remember, it was a semi-well-known site, well Tropical Faerie lasted about a year or two, I’m not honestly sure how long.. Originally TF was on Freewebs before I jumped into the world of domains, then whilst running TF I decided to go into co-owning with Vanessa, we created The-Dollhouse.org which is the site I’m using to host this blog. So we also opened another site, GlitterMoo, which didn’t succeed, it wasn’t really something we wanted. Up next I greated a sub-domain on TF which I’ve honestly forgotten the name of, I planned on making it a blog, but I just got sick of webdesign at that point in my life, so I took a break. Then I moved on to Dazling Beauty. Which was bought for my friend who then didn’t want it so with only 3-4 months left, I tried to make it a blog. However in my heart I wasn’t interested anymore, I stooped out of webdesign and back into my real life to a while. Now here we are, I’m going to incorporate my “real life” into my “web life” and create a blog.
